I hope this is the direction the new designs of PPG wings are going. No doubt others will be knipping at the heels of Paramania to try to copy what they have done. It clearly has some features to it that are an advantage over conventional wings, because the pilots flying them at the World Comps did so well in the standings with them . I like the improved launching charachteristics over the original Reflex, and the speed and sink are right up there with the best (or better) than any other design in the world. Safety is another very important feature of the Action. This wing is about the safest wing a pilot could fly, besides maybe another Reflex! Everywhere I take my new Action I get pilots wanting to try it out, so I oblige them a demo. Upon landing they usually comment they are surprised it handled so briskly and flew so efficiently. Testing the fastest trim settings is always a surprise, because they aren't used to that much wind being in their face during level flight! I found at my fastest trim settings my microphone boom was wiggling from the wind going over it at 35 mph. I describe the sensation at fast trim as being the same as being in a moderate spiral, but you are in level flight. In conclusion, this is a great wing design. It's an improvement over conventional wings by a great margin, and it should be a yardstick by which new PPG wings can be measured. Keep up the great work!

I hope all is well with you. just a quick one as I am off to a kite event in Hunstanton today. Hoping for no wind to fly around a bit!

I had a cloud sucking experience couple of days back. I was thermalling up at 8ft/min toward a perfect cloud that rapidly turned ugly. I thought maybe time to exit the situation and straightened out to run away upwind as I didnt want to get any closer to the cloud and that was the only way "away" from it. But instead I was going up at 8ft/min+ backwards which got me panicking a bit. I then tried to spiral dive... I went to lock in but I was still climbing at 1ft/min.. I quit that and put the trims right up and yanked the speed bar out. Getting buffeted around I skimmed under the cloud and out the side, finally sinking at 1ft/min only...I ran and ran! I had climbed from 1500 to 2400 while trying to go down. Base at 2400. I noticed that everywhere I looked the wind was going toward this cloud at ground level... as I continued on my XC to canterbury I noticed a suck toward another "perfect" cloud.. I stayed well away.. For many this might have been the perfect thermal, but as my first cloudbase experience.. a bit nerve wracking. I write to say it was reassuring knowing that the reflex would stabilise the wing , giving the confidence to use full speed bar to get the %#$& out of there.

Cheers, Chris

Launching, I found the Action to be more of a faster launch, compared to other wings.

Handling ,without trim it is very light brake pressure and gets progressively harder to full trim, but not so heavy that your arms fall off.

Stability, I found it to be very stable. Speed, it is noticeably faster than all other wings I own.

Glide angle & Sink rate, I was expecting a poor sink and glide rate due to the speed, but I was pleasantly surprised that it seems to need a few less RPM's than my Astral 3.

Thermalling, I haven't done any real thermalling as yet, but I have had it in some rough air ,had I been flying my Astral 3 I surely would have been fighting collapses, the Action's tips tucked a little and came out instantly with no input.

Landing, I find the landings a little faster but with a well timed flare washing off the speed is quite easy, I especially like landing with power, you can slow the Action down to a slow walk .

Overall, I feel I will be less nevus on days that I used to have to fly actively to stay safe. After seeing the Reflex and hearing a lot of the pros and cons, I figured you guys would build something that would suit the mainstream, and then I followed the progress of the Action and "Viola" it seems you were reading my mind.

I think this wing is for paramotorists who want to feel confident in stronger flying conditions, who want to go places, and who get excited by a bit of low-level swervy stuff from time to time. The greatly increased speed (at least 10-15kph on my old wing) means I can go places in windier conditions, so the flying envelope is much wider. Mainly I like going on journeys rather than pottering around locally, so I wanted a wing that could penetrate stronger winds and remain stable in more turbulent conditions. This is only my second wing, so I felt it was a big step up, but I'm very pleased with the choice.

Fun Handling! Sporty like after a little brake pull and flat turn, or just skip the flat turn and go for it! Stability - Excellent Speed - Fast Launching - Just fine and as the Manual states, stay on the A's. Glide angle & Sink rate - Good glide ratio, but with a higher than average sink rate given the speed. Thermalling - Little experience with this wing to date. Landing - Just fine, just bleed off the speed. How has the Action changed the way you fly? The increased speed results in more ground covered, especially in wind. Maneuvering has become more fun at any altitude, low too.

Trim OFF Gira algo menos

-Estabilidad: Trim ON Excelente ... Trim OFF Muy Buena . Velocidad: Trim ON Excelente, 41kmh, a Trim OFF ~42kmh cae mas pero tampoco se nota muchas mas velocidad

-Planeo & Tasa de caída: Trim ON Muy Buena Trim OFF Suficiente aunque cae bastante mas.
